Patronly provides software that helps nonprofit organizations and their volunteers plan, run, and follow up on fundraising events such as galas ("the Services"). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through patronly.ai and our platform, how we use it, and the choices you have.
In plain terms: we use your information to run Patronly, support your event, communicate with you, and improve the product. We rely on PCI-compliant third-party processors to handle payment details — we do not store full card numbers on our servers. We share information only with the service providers and event organizers needed to deliver the Services. We do not sell your personal information.
The Services are operated by Patronly, LLC, a Texas limited liability company ("Patronly," "we," "us," or "our"). Patronly provides technology that lets nonprofit organizations ("Organizations") manage events and connect with their guests, sponsors, and donors. Patronly is a service provider to Organizations; it does not itself solicit donations or run events.
We collect information you provide directly, information generated as you use the Services, and information from third parties.
Organizations use Patronly to manage information about their guests, sponsors, table captains, and donors ("Guest Information"), which may include names, email and postal addresses, dietary or accessibility needs, table assignments, and sponsorship details.
The Organization is the controller of this Guest Information; Patronly processes it on the Organization's behalf. How an Organization uses information about its own guests and donors is governed by that Organization's own privacy practices, not this Policy. If you are a guest or donor and have questions about your information, please contact the Organization hosting your event.
When payments are processed through the Services, they are handled by PCI-DSS-compliant third-party payment processors specifically Stripe. Patronly does not collect or store full payment card numbers on its own servers. Your use of a payment processor is subject to that processor's own terms and privacy policy.
We share information only as needed to run the Services:
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with advertisers to target you.
Patronly uses a single, essential session cookie to keep you securely logged in. This cookie is set HttpOnly (it cannot be read by scripts in your browser) and SameSite=Lax (it is not sent on cross-site requests).
We do not use third-party advertising cookies, marketing pixels, or cross-site tracking, and we do not sell or share your information for targeted advertising. You can control cookies through your browser settings, though disabling the session cookie will prevent you from logging in.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at privacy@patronly.ai. You may also opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in those messages.
If you are a guest or donor of an Organization, please direct requests about your Guest Information to that Organization, which controls it.
Residents of certain U.S. states — including Texas (our home state) under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, as well as California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, and others have specific rights under state privacy laws, which may include the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and certain targeted advertising. Patronly does not sell personal information or use it for cross-context behavioral advertising. To exercise state-law rights, contact privacy@patronly.ai.
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Event data is retained so that an Organization's future events can benefit from prior history, unless deletion is requested.
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information, described further on our Security page. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
The Services are intended for Organizations and adults acting on their behalf. They are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Some Organizations that use Patronly serve youth. Where an Organization enters information about minors as part of its event or program records, that information is processed on the Organization's behalf and is controlled by the Organization.
Patronly is operated from the United States and processes information there. If you access the Services from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be processed in the U.S. Patronly currently serves U.S.-based organizations.
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
